Rise of Motor Stunts in India!

Though when exactly stunt biking
officially began in India is up for debate, nobody can deny that the action
sport is rapidly on the rise. In fact, some say it’s poised to become India’s
next big competitive sport within the next five years. Some call it the
equivalent of what skateboarding has become in the United States thanks to the
enthusiasm among riders and fans alike.
But there’s a big difference
between the professionals and the rogue riders when it comes to stunt biking in
India. The professional groups and teams only perform in designated areas and
make safety a priority, while rogue riders perform stunts on public roads and
potentially pose a safety hazard both to themselves and the public.

Top Stunt Biking Groups in

Like we said, there’s a big
difference between rogue riders and professional groups. Here’s a look at some
of the top stunt biking groups and teams in India, which blend entertaining
tricks with a commitment to safety:
  • ·
    Ghost Ryderz:
The Ghost Ryderz, or GRz, began as a touring club in 2007 and now consider
themselves India’s top freestyle stunt riding team. GRz eventually wants
to be the top stunt riding team in the world.

  • Team Balance Point:
Based in Bangalore, Team Balance Point (TBP) is a foursome of riders that’s
    been performing together since 2011.
  • ·    Team DFG:
Founded in 2007, TeamDFG consists of five highly skilled stunt riders. Since
the team’s founding, it’s been highly regarded as one of India’s top acts.

  • ·
    OutlawZ: Based in Kozhikode
(Calicut), the OutlawZ were officially formed in 2009 and have evolved into a
    national act.

  • ·
was founded in 2008. While the group consists of stunt riders of all different
types, it also includes freestyle bike riders.
These are just five of the most
well-known biking groups across India, but with how fast the sport is growing
in the country, they’re hardly going to be the last to make their mark on the

Happiness Quotient! #HappinessBlogTrain

I asked,
“What is Happiness for you?”
He said,
“Lots and lots of money in my saving account, which can fetch me all the
luxuries of the world that I wish to acquire.”
“Really”, I
“No doubt,
Mom. Everyone wishes for loads of money and enjoy life on his own terms. Don’t
you wish the same?” He said trying to convince me.
I smiled at
his innocence, still, he is far off from the bare reality of life.
I trudged
down the memory lane and discovered that in my youth, I too longed for fat bank
balance and believed that money can buy happiness. The thoughts took
transformation as I trudged with life and had rendezvous, where I discovered
that money is important for life but is not solely responsible to keep us
My thought
deepened when I tasted sweet and pepper of life and discovered that the
materialistic things did add comfort to life but real happiness could not be
attained by materialism.
“Hey, you
know, happiness is real when smile purses on your lips and a unique glow
spreads on your face and soft and sweet twinkle light up your eyes. This
embellishes your face when you are truly happy with the soul, no makeup is
required to give the touch up to the beauty of real happiness and bliss. It
touches you naturally and for this natural feel and sheen, you don’t require
wealth, you just need an eye and a soul to listen to the whims of nature. I may
sound philosophical and you might feel that I am giving free sermons, but this
is true.”
I discussed
with him the encounters of life that we faced together and surplus money could
not straighten things.
What is the meaning of Happiness for

Being a
social animal, I love to be surrounded by people. I am always ready for the
people who need my love and care. Helping people gives me immense satisfaction.
I feel that my life is worth that I am capable of helping people. I have seen
people hoarding a lot of money, but no social contact. Nobody stands for them
in time of their need and distress. In my life, I have made a point to extend
my care and support to all who is really in need irrespective of who he is. He
can be my family, friend, associate, neighbor or a stranger. I don’t trust
strangers and don’t mix with them easily, but in distress, keeping myself on
the safe side, I extend my support. My experience led me to believe that the
care that you extend to others works like a boomerang and it comes back to you
in different forms in life. Helping gives me real happiness and it has helped to
survive several setbacks of life, because, it has made me strong to the core
while facing the naked fact of life through bare eyes.
Cooking & Serving

Cooking and
serving is my hobby since childhood. I freely share the cuisines or specialty
food that I prepare. These days, I find most of the people cook on compulsion
and are always in a look out to escape from the kitchen. I prepare food with
love and people relishing on my choice and preparation helps me to bask in the
glory of happiness. People close to me know well about my skill and I try my
best to serve my guests, family, and others on festive and special occasions. I
believe in cooking at home on special occasions instead of buying ready-made
food and snacks from the market.

I am a
nature lover and love watching plants grow and bloom. Since early days of
childhood, I used to spend hours in my garden watching acres of land
flourishing with greenery. I used to water the plants through water hose and
clean weeds and dry leaves from the garden. Now with urbanization, acres of
land has been squeezed and I am left with small places in the balcony and in
apartment basement area. I keep myself busy in these spreads of space and have
planted lots of green that can be well adjusted in the current space. The first
thing that I do in the morning is to see my plants and it loads me with lots of
happiness and satisfaction. Seeing them flourish speaks volumes about my love
and care showered on the plants.

A radiant
smile gives the sheen to your face and the exchange of a wide smile makes a day
better of all whose life you touch. The smile is the prettiest curve and
priceless. You can exchange with anyone and it crosses the barrier of religion,
sex, creed, castes, language etc. I keep smiling and exchange smiles with all
whom I encounter. It lightens up my face and I feel lively and in high spirits.
These are
the things that fetch real happiness in my life but still, I am not a God so
there are few whims of mine, of whom I am a slave. It is a materialistic thing
and I spend more on them parting from my earnings and it adds happiness to my

Buying Spree for Clothes

The fabric
is my weakness and I spend superfluously on them. I love to dress in the choice
of my dresses and I buy the fabric instantly that attracts me. I spend a lot of
my clothes and I have a habit of wearing pressed clothes whether I am in office
or home. My gifts for others includes fabric, it can be dresses, dress
materials, bed sheets, sarees or curtain. They all attract my attention and I
love to flaunt.

These are
the key to my way which leads to happiness, which is real and satisfying.

Learning and Development in Asia be a part of Change!

Article by Anirudh Gupta

Director- Skilldom
Learning Solutions
“Learning, learning and continuous learning, ladies
and gentleman, is the key differentiator to become a successful organisation.”
These words were very powerfully and animatedly stated by the Head of HR of a
large Indian Conglomerate at an L&D conference, in Mumbai.
Almost all organisations talk about the importance
of learning and development, however few do much about it. It is not because
they do not believe in L&D activities; it is because the benefits of
learning are difficult to measure. Rather it is very difficult to measure
learning.  Therefore, learning and
development somehow hovers in the abstruse realm of management. The last to
receive budgetary allocation and the first to experience austerity drive.
The economic landscape has drastically changed and
is changing with an unprecedented speed. This is both an Indian and global
phenomena. The core of this change is advancement in technology –especially
computing technology. Massive pools of data can be processed in seconds and
this ability of big data analytics is able to provide inferences in real time.
This results in quick decision making as well as the need to execute quickly.
Now marry this ability to compute quickly, correlate abstract data and provide
meaningful, analysed data with learning and there you have birth of ‘true’
digital learning. Add to it the developing science of Artificial Learning and
Machine learning – making digital learning effective, efficient and engaging.
Digital learning is there – from basic Learning
Management Services (LMS’s) to high end assisted learning intelligence
platforms, but the question is ability of the businesses to adapt to digital
learning. Anything and everything on a digital device is not digital learning.
With this definition, Computer based learning has been there is some form or
other since 1970’s and it later avatar of eLearning since early 1990’s.
I would like to share some facts which came up with
some interesting findings (based on 189 clients that we have worked with). Some
of them are:
Up till 2012 – 80% of the core training was in-person
and classroom lead. Where average classroom training averaged 56 training hours
a year out of a classroom learning opportunity of 80 hours. Getting 8 hours of
eLearning was a challenge, being limited to product and process knowledge or
induction programs.
An average program (classroom) lasted for 2 days in
In 2017 – the average classroom came to one day.
With consistent demand for classroom programs not exceeding 4 hours or half a
day sessions. With eLearning consumption increasing up to 19 hours a year –from
an average eLearning opportunity of 300+ hours (based on custom made and ready
to use libraries)
The attention span has dropped considerably to less
that 5 minutes and is reducing all the more. This is more due to the choices
that a learner has and multiple sources for getting information affecting the
ability to concentrate.
The workforce that is now comprising more of
millennials, desire for more personalized input, on the go and self-paced
learning opportunities. 89% of respondents in a survey conducted by SKILLDOM
stated that they find the classroom training uninteresting and that they can
better use their time learning the same thing through online medias.
100% of stakeholders were challenged and struggling
to measure learning effectiveness and efficiency in 2012 and 100% of
stakeholders are still challenged on the same issue in 2017. Nothing much will
change in 2018 – until organisation start adapting to intelligent digital learning
In the same survey conducted by SKILLDOM, 79% of the
learners wanted classroom sessions to be skill building sessions, where they
could interact and do activities and exercises that helped them become dextrous
or sensitive to a certain subject / competency.  74% of the respondents said that micro
learning would be better as they can collate mentally concepts and probably
apply them at work as and when needed. Both the business and the learner wanted
to know – how much I have learnt in the end.
Now on analysing these points the major inferences
are :
Classroom learning is important, but needs to be
focussed on skill building…
Digital learning is the need of the hour to provide personalized,
on the go, self-paced and measured learning.
The advantage that digital learning platforms bring
is immense. Think of a large bank or a pharma company or a multiband retail
outlet that employ probably 1000’s of people. Reaching to every learner is a
challenge and reaching in real time is all the more difficult, forget about
providing learning opportunity consistently and regularly (I am sure given the
current focus on monies, the logistic cost itself will be a major road
block).  A digital learning platform can
provide all this at a cost that is significantly less than spend which the
organization does on coffee per employee per month. Moreover, it is able to
measure learning, as it is able to record minute transactions that correlate
with learning. Learning content is sourced from the knowledge repository of the
organization and curated content from internet that probably has millions of
content pieces on the most common competencies that are associated with a role.
Which means you can actually measure the learning that a learner is doing.
Hence you know what is the ability and all that is left for the business or the
learner’s immediate manager to do is bring in the ‘human touch’ to influence
the ‘willingness” part.
With improving bandwidth, digital learning is
possible and it is here to stay. Even in remotest part of the country, you will
find not only the youth but people across a broad demographic spectrum happily
hooked on to YouTube and Facebook. The only challenge is to engage with a
digital learning platform that can be as interesting as Facebook or YouTube.
So when I hear the words “learning, learning and
continuous learning” from the head of HR of an Indian conglomerate and I know
it can happen. But to make it happen the core way of functioning and looking at
the learning function has to dramatically alter. Adapting digital learning platforms
that operate on new age technology is critical. Only when this learning change
is initiated will business organisations of today start becoming successful.

I am Back!

I am back to pen down my feelings, turbulence and fear.

I used to pen down daily but suddenly I stopped, without any reason. Took hiatus from penning down my emotions.

I had stacked myself with various content writing jobs and it weaned out my creativity and my fingers stopped to vent out my emotions.

Everyday, I promised to begin but lagged behind and finally today,. after 23rd Dec. 2017, I logged into my account to write down and meet my friends and peers of blogging kingdom to share and care.

Now, I will continue to write everyday and there is a surprise for you all.

I will share my happiness over being on a loser’s bench and remain happy.

Can You Guess?

Keep Guessing.

Will share rest in my next post.

Stay Tuned.
