An intense pain rebels
Envisioning
Men
Quenching their thirsts
By slaughtering
Their own species
Growing wild
In thy name of
Region
Race
Religion.
Pretermitting
That
Above all
Stands
The beauty of relationship
Of humanity.
Bullets fired
Ripping bodies in air
Feelings chiselled
Bodies soiled in blood
Mother loses her flesh
Wife loses her love
The innocent kids
Orphaned
Before they understand the term, Death.
Nation salutes departed souls
Conferring
Posthumously
With medals.
Father control thy tears
Accepting them to be martyrs.
