The dark clouds are ready to burst

To quench the parched earth’s thirst

I love the pitter-patter of incessant raindrops

To inhale the musky aroma of earth that crops

Each spurt will write a verse.

Lovely – I have a limerick on my blog today as well. As the first, second and fifth lines are 8 beats long and the third and fourth lines are only 5 beats long in a limerick is the challenge to turn this around?
