Give Men a Chance to Become a Good Home Maker #Ariel #Sonday

This week Ariel’s challenge is to encourage sons to clean their wardrobe and maintain. Basically, Ariel mission is to imbibe regular habit of doing daily task. To become independent individuals rather than depending upon the woman folk of the family for the daily tasks that can be easily managed by them.

In our country, male community is dependent upon the females since ages, reason men managed outer world and the women’s were confined to four walls. The chores were divided, total household job on the women and the men managed everything beyond the walls of the house.

With urbanization and joint family disintegration, lifestyle transformed and the men and women equally support a family. Women are emotionally stronger than men and they took the reins of the household as well as the world outside the home. Men could not transform themselves easily because of a typical mind set. They assimilated the women contribution, but restrained from helping women managing household chores, baby care, etc. because they never saw their fathers involved in these sectors. They still considered that this domain was exclusively for women.

But now, boys and girls are raised as sole individuals and parents try not to confine the realms according to sex. Both are studying and taking up jobs and both work for same length, then why girls or women be only responsible for household front.

Till a decade before, women took the responsibility, but now young generation retaliates and revolts against this practice. They believe that it is the moral duty of boys to do their tasks by themselves or help each other. It starts from childhood days, a brother cannot expect from her sister to serve him water or tea, get their wardrobe maintained, etc. They wish that their fathers or brothers should manage things by themselves or help them in doing instead of ordering…so now the distance is crumbling…men need to evolve themselves to fit into the current generation’s thoughts.

It is the duty of mothers to instil these habits in kids early childhood phase and never ever declare that, “Yeh tumhara kaam nahin hai.”

In the initial years of marriage, I managed the whole domain all by myself out of love and care for my beloved husband…but gradually, I looked for his help in my so-called my domain. I have been lucky to have a supportive husband who learned the techniques from me and slowly, stood for me whenever I required. With the passage of time, he has managed to be a sole entity and can manage all spheres all by himself. I don’t have any botheration of home if I am out of station because I have confidence in him that he can handle all.

My sons too picked up the habit of managing things as per their age watching his father doing babysitting, cooking, laundry, cleaning, etc. Even my hubby used to sing lullabies for my sons when they were in the cradle. 😀

My home is free from the adage, “Yeh mera kaam nahin hai…those who are fit manage all.”

My hubby manages all his belongings single-handedly in maximum instances…and I am becoming lazy by asking his help when I feel I cannot exert more… 😛

We are happy even if uninvited or invited troupe visits our home because we all in a group manage things at all fronts and no one is burdened with all the jobs…the result is,…guests are happy seeing us happily welcoming them.

We are set as examples in other families and neighbours and many Men have started learning to help their Mom, sis, wife, etc.

I have done my job of encouraging children and my hubby to treat all the genders equally…and they are handling pretty well.

I hit two birds with a single stone…helped my hubby to be independent…my sons followed his footsteps

Mommies & Wives…have you done…if not, Start from Today and make the planet the better place to live in.
